Abstract: The present lack of knowledge about the prey of forage fish in Prince William Sound (PWS) limits the ability to estimate the carrying capacity of the Sound. In the first year of this multi-year study, this project will conduct a pilot study to obtain data needed to refine sample size estimates, evaluate several analytical techniques for describing diet overlap and prey electivity, and determine if prey categories can be pooled in future years. Tests will be conducted to determine differences between two laboratories in the measurement of prey abundance and biomass, and percent body weight.Proposal: Not Available
