Abstract: This project will continue to monitor the recovery of selected fish species (yellowfin sole, rock sole, flathead sole) by measuring exposure to oil and oil components in fish of Prince William Sound after the EVOS. Biological effects, such as histopathological alterations, in these fish will continue to be assessed. The data will be collected and incorporated into models for use in estimating oil spill impacts on fishery resources as well as recovery from such oil exposures. Samples of the selected fish species and sediment samples will be collected and analyzed for hydrocarbon exposure. Statistical and simulation models will be developed to assess environmental damage and recovery incorporating the information from this and prior studies. Only the portions of the previously conducted Natural Resource Damage Assessment studies that are most likely to assist in documentation of recovery from injury will be continued.Proposal: Not Available
