Abstract: The long term growth, survival, and hydrocarbon uptake portion of this project was begun during September, 1989. Fifteen thousand Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas) were stocked into nets at both oiled and non-oiled sites. Initial stocking mortality during the first time period appeared to be high. The project is proceeding normally as per the schedule proposed in the Detailed Study Plan. Initial project staging work, preparatory to advancing into the active field season, will be completed by March 1, 1990. Pyster sampling at established sites was completed in September, 1989. All samples have been submitted to the contract laboratory for petroleum hydrocarbon analyses.Proposal: Not Available
