Abstract: Shoreline assessment activities in Prince William Sound (PWS) in 1993 indicated that remaining subsurface EVOS oil was degrading with time, but that surface oil in the form of asphalt had stabilized with little reduction occurring since 1991. This project will assess shorelines with surface oiling as determined by the 1993 shoreline assessment. Crews will manually break up asphalt and other heavily weathered materials to accelerate natural degradation. Any restoration activities in oiled mussel beds will be coordinated with Project #94090 to ensure appropriate treatment methods are used and to monitor the effectiveness of treatment.Proposal: Not Available
