Abstract: This project is a component of the Sound Ecosystem Assessment (SEA) program, a multi-disciplinary effort to acquire an ecosystem level understanding of the marine and freshwater processes that interact to constrain levels of fish, marine bird, and marine mammal production in Prince William Sound (PWS). This component will endeavor to determine if changes in the PWS ecosystem caused pink salmon run failures after the EVOS. The migration of juvenile salmon through PWS will be tracked and their growth will be estimated. Five salmon hatcheries will release approximately 500 million juvenile salmon. About one million fish will be marked with a coded wire tag. Recovery of the coded wire tagged fish will enable personnel to track the migration and growth of juvenile salmon.Proposal: Not Available
