Abstract: The river otter and mink damage assessment study was initiated in 1989. Some mortality was documented soon after the oil spill and subsequent long term sublethal effects have continued to be documented. Impacts have been demonstrated at the population level in this species through continued introduction of toxic oil substances in the habitat resulting in direct exposure and introductions through prey resulting in internal exposure. Funds provided in 1992 will be used for completion of analysis of substantial amounts of data collected in the three years of this study and preparation of a final report.Proposal: View (16 KB)
