Project Information
Title: Geographic and Temporal Distribution of Dissolved and Particulate Petroleum Hydrocarbons in the Water Column AW03
Project Year and Number: 1990: AW03
Other Fiscal Years and Numbers for this Project: 1992: ST03-A, 1992: ST03-B, 1991: ST03, 1989: AW03
Principal Investigator (PI): Jeff Short (NOAA/NMFS Auke Bay Laboratory)
Managing Agency: NOAA
Assisting Personnel: Pat Harris
Research Location: All Spill Affected Areas
Restoration Category: Damage Assessment
Injured Resources Addressed: Mussels, Sediments
Abstract: This project will assess the geographic and temporal distribution of dissolved and particulate hydrocarbons in the water column and deposited in sediments resulting from the EVOS. Knowledge of these concentrations will determine whether violations of State of Alaska Water Quality Criteria have occurred, and will allow estimation of the exposure risk of subsurface marine biota to petroleum hydrocarbons.Proposal: Not Available
