Abstract: This project would determine the composition and concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons from the Exxon Valdez oil spill in intertidal and subtidal sediments (0-100m) in the Gulf of Alaska; compare the hydrocarbon concentrations of subtidal sediments outside and inside PWS at comparable depths; compare hydrocarbon concentrations of subtidal sediments outside PWS with concentrations from samples at the same locations in 1989 to assess recovery of those sediments; and complete analysis of sediments collected in PWS in July 1993.Proposal: Not Available
