Abstract: Following the EVOS, the common murre population dramatically declined in the western Gulf of Alaska area. In addition to reduced population, timing of breeding activities was delayed at the Barren Islands murre colonies. Data indicates that murre numbers have remained depressed since the EVOS. This project will undertake additional restoration actions, and continue monitoring trends in population numbers, productivity, and phenology of common murres at the injured Barren Islands murre colonies. Differences in information reported by the University of Washington studies with that of the USFWS will be reviewed.Proposal: Not Available
