Abstract: This project will result in new analyses, integration, and comparison of pre- and post-spill data, and the publication of four papers needed to understand spill damage to sea otters and assess the current status of affected sea otter populations. These four papers will result in a) data on the reproduction, development, and survival of sea otter females, pups, and weanlings; b) generation of benchmarks against which to gauge sea otter population status relative to recovery; and c) information key to evaluating response strategies.Proposal: Not Available
