Abstract: The goal of this project is to complete analyses and report results of a study to quantify effects of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on salmon eggs and fry. Results from this study show some of the more significant injury to salmon yet demonstrated. Injury includes significantly increased egg mortality and high incidences of somatic, cellular, and genetic abnormalities in alevins and fry from oiled streams. Summarization and publication of these results is important for the completion of damage assessment and for the planning of future activities.
