Abstract: Monitoring of archaeological sites on public land injured by vandalism and oiling will concentrate on a sample of index sites in the three regions of the spill area. Oiled sites will be tested for reintroduced oil. A total of 11 sites will be visited in FY 99. Scattered instances of vandalism continue and monitoring will continue with return to sites initially identified but not recently monitored.
