Jenn is Mvskoke Creek, and was raised by the CRIT Reservation, moving to Wisconsin in the early 1990s. Jenn has served as a registered nurse, a deputy medical examiner and a police officer before receiving a second undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and a master’s degree in Adult Education from Carroll University. Jenn also holds a Juris Doctorate from Taft Law School with an emphasis in Federal Indian and Environmental law. Jenn has worked, as a business owner, internationally with Indigenous, and other communities in Alaska and worldwide as a consultant on various projects while attending Law School. In 2013 she began working for the federal government in Alaska, then for the Forest Service in 2015 serving as Special Assistant to the Regional Forester for Tribal Relations in the Eastern Region serving, the former Northeast Area State and Private Forestry, Northern Research Station, Forest Products Laboratory, and the National Forest System. After serving as Special Assistant to the Regional Forester for Tribal Relations, Jenn became the first Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Chippewa National Forest in its 109-year history, then became the Forest Supervisor on the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin, arriving as the Forest Supervisor on the Chugach National Forest in March 2025.
