Lauri Adams served as Director of the EVOSTC Habitat Program from 2015-2022, leading the implementation of all habitat protection and enhancement projects approved by the Council. With the current phaseout of the Habitat Program anticipated by FY25, Lauri has transitioned to a contractual, part-time, program manager position to assist with completion of remaining habitat projects and other program and administrative tasks as needed.
Lauri’s background is as an environmental attorney with over 30 years of experience, including serving as Regional Solicitor for the Alaska Region of the U.S. Department of the Interior for 11 years, and as Senior Attorney in the Environment Division of the State of Alaska’s Department of Law for 9 years. Earlier in her career, Lauri also worked as an attorney and program director for a national non-profit, in private business for a publicly traded corporation in Anchorage, and in private law practice. Her undergraduate degree is from U.C. Davis, and her law degree is from Harvard Law School. In her first job after law school, Lauri clerked for the Alaska Supreme Court in Fairbanks.
