Joy Maglaqui is the Executive Assistant for the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council (EVOSTC) Office. Her responsibilities, to list a few, include acting as a liaison between the EVOSTC PAC and EVOSTC staff and Trustee Council, working with the USGS Science Center regarding the office lease and operations, and generating and updating the General Operating Budget and Annual Funding Overview. She assists in drafting Court Notice memos in coordination with the Executive Director as needed to initiate release of funding. Joy also processes, tracks, and records vendor payments, project billings, and RSA billings. In addition, she also generates the yearly Investment Fund and Financial Reports, as well as liaising with the external third-party auditor.
Before working for the EVOSTC, Joy worked for 26 years with the Municipality of Anchorage (Assembly, Mayor’s Office, and Municipal Manager’s Office) in executive level positions.
