Abstract: This project would expose pink salmon to oil during incubation and then release these salmon to migrate to the Gulf of Alaska. The exposure to oil during egg incubation would be used to determine the effect on: straying; marine survival; and gamete viability of returning adults. Additionally, the study would attempt to determine the influences on straying behavior of incubation environment; stock; and coded wire tagging.
