Abstract: This project proposes to remove introduced arctic foxes from Sequan Island as a means of allowing populations of three species of birds injured by the oil spill (black oystercatcher, pigeon guillemot and common murre) to increase. Although it is outside the area directly affected by the oil spill, Seguam Island has a particularly high potential for restoring populations of these species because it contains substantial amounts of habitat and remnant populations of all three species are present.
