1st Quarter Tasks (October 1, 2004 - December 31, 2004)
Status: Complete

October: Project funding approved by Trustee Council

2nd Quarter Tasks (January 1, 2005 - March 31, 2005)
Status: Complete

Tasks to be performed:

January 12-16 (tentative): Annual GEM Workshop March: Collect Sitka spawning samples

Progress report:

Second quarter objective have been met. Item 1 was completed in January- both PIs attended the annual GEM workshop. Item 2 was completed in March- the Sitka Sound samples were collected immediately prior to the commercial fishery and the onset of spawning, as planned. PIs currently have vessels and crews out collecting herring from each of our other sample sites as herring spawning commences in more northern latitudes.

3rd Quarter Tasks (April 1, 2005 - June 30, 2005)
Status: Complete

Tasks to be performed:

April - June: Collect PWS, Kodiak, Kamishak, Togiak, and Bering Sea spawning samples

Progress report:

Third quarter objectives have been met.

4th Quarter Tasks (July 1, 2005 - September 30, 2005)
Status: Complete

Tasks to be performed:

July: Collect Dutch Harbor food/bait samples August-September: Begin chemical analysis of hearts September 1: Submit Annual Report
